D.S. Mathur is new DoT secretary
New Delhi: Dinesh Shankar Mathur, a 1971 batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the MP cadre has been appointed Secretary, Department of Telecom. Mathur has replaced J.S. Sarma who has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Fertiliser. Before joining the Central Government, Mathur was the director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussouri and also holds the post of the Secretary, Department of Information Technology.

Lehman Brothers appoints Tarun Jotwani as CEO India
Mumbai: Lehman Brothers has appointed its European fixed income executive Tarun Jotwani as chairman and chief executive of its India operations.

Jotwani, who is currently the co-head of fixed income in Europe, is due to move to Lehman's India headquarters in Mumbai later this year, a statement from the bank said on Monday.

Lehman, which employs about 1,000 people in India, is expanding its operations fast to compete with its Wall Street rivals Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch who have been in India for quite some time.
