Merck India's Herbert Mauer to retire in July
Mumbai: Dr Heribert Mauer, managing director of Merck India, will retire from the company with effect from July 31, 2006.

Dr Mauer has been in the position of MD, Merck India since July 1, 2002. Dr Marek Dziki, currently the vice-president, strategic innovation, at the Merck headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. will take over as the managing director from August 1, 2006.

Ramanathan to head SHCIL services
Mumbai: S. Ramanathan, executive vice-president, Stock Holding Corporation of India (SHCIL), has been appointed as the chief executive officer of SHCIL Services, an associate company. In the field of business financial services for considerable length of time he has dealt with various operations — integration of operating systems, risk management and seamless capital market service — in the securities markets. Ramanathan plans to roll out SHCIL Services in all major metros and investor centres in the country over the next few months.
