BHEL chief honoured
New Delhi: The CMD of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), A K Puri, has been awarded the Udyog Ratna award by the PHDCCI for his contribution to the economic development of Uttaranchal.

According to a company press release as much as 86 per cent of the installed capacity of the hill state has BHEL equipment.

ADA Enterprises gets new finance chief
Mumbai: The Anil D Ambani Enterprises Group (ADA) has announced another high profile recruitment in Ramesh Venkat, earlier group chief financial officer of Vedanta (Sterlite). He has been appointed as president (finance) for the ADA team.

Venkat is a chartered accountant, cost accountant and
company secretary. He was earlier with Hindustan Lever, ANZ Grindlays Bank and Credit Lyonnais.

Ford VP relocates
Chennai: Vinay K Piparsania, Ford's vice president, marketing, sales and service and external affairs, is relocating from Chennai to Ford's operations in Thailand, effective August 1, 2005.

V Sivaramakrishnan, the present general manager, sales for Ford India will succeed Piparsania.
