L&T cement buisness demerger date
Mumbai: The scheme of arrangement for demerger of Larsen & Toubro's cement business has been declared effective as of May 14, L&T has said in its notice to the stock exchanges. L&T has filed certified copies of the orders with the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, said the notice.
In terms of the sanctioned scheme, the company's equity shareholders on the record date will be issued one equity share of the face value of Rs 2 each for every two equity shares held; and two equity shares of the face value of Rs 10 each in UltraTech CemCo Ltd for every five equity shares of the face value of Rs 10 each held.
The company has also informed the exchanges that the record date for reckoning the shareholders entitled to receive its new equity shares in the restructured capital as also the equity shares of UltraTech CemCo Ltd has been fixed as May 27.

Sundram Fasteners to inaugurate China plant on May 21
Chennai: SUNDRAM Fasteners Ltd will inaugurate its China plant in Zhejiang province in south China set up the manufacture high tensile fasteners, on May 21. Trial production has commenced at the China plant and it will begin commercial production shortly.
Sundram Fasteners was the first Indian engineering company to set up manufacturing operations in China. The plant will manufacture value-added special fasteners and standard fasteners. It has estimated the size of the Chinese fastener industry at about 2,00,000 tonnes.

New Delhi: To create awareness for its new Rs 5 Maggi 2-minute noodles pack, Nestle India has signed on Bollywood actress Preity Zinta to feature in its latest commercial. The commercial has been created for Nestlé India by Publicis.

Dabur introduces Real range
Mumbai: Dabur Foods, which has 55 per cent market share in the preservative-free fruit juice segment, has introduced age-specific market segmentation with a new sub-brand, Real Junior, targeted at children below six years, claimed to be a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country. Real Junior has been launched in two flavours, mango and apple, enriched with calcium, in different size packs to suit varied consumption needs and occasions. Dabur Foods has expanded the range of Real to nine variants, which makes it the largest range of fruit juices.

The juices are an assortment of traditional Indian and international flavours - orange, mango, tomato, pineapple, mixed fruit, grape, guava, litchi and cranberry. Real Junior and Real Cranberry Nectar will be available across the metros and other big cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and small cities such as Ludhiana, Amritsar and Jalandhar. Dabur Foods is reportedly the only juice company in India and among the top five companies in the world to use spin cap cartons, cold-fill technology and spill-proof double seal for packaging.
