US '04 growth to be fastest in 20 years
New York: The US economy, building on a strong finish this year, is set to grow in 2004 at its fastest rate in 20 years, as improving profits and productivity feed increased business spending, a private business group said.

Gail-BG Global Deal In Pipeline
New Delhi: Gail (India) Limited is negotiating a major gas deal in Egypt with British Gas (BG)International. Gail, which has recently acquired equity stakes in two Shell-promoted gas companies in Egypt, is now planning to acquire a substantial part of the 37.5 per cent equity held by British Gas in Nile Valley Gas Company (NVGC) in Egypt. In addition to this, Gail is also talking to BG for picking up equity in its offshore exploration Block-25 in the Mediterranean Sea, where BG holds a 100 per cent stake.
