Huber to take over as Daimler chief
New Delhi: Hans Michael Huber will replace DaimlerChrysler Indias outgoing managing director and CEO Jurgen Ziegler.

Huber, who has worked on corporate strategy and on the fuel cell project, will formally join from 1 May.

Ziegler, who spend seven years in India, was among the longest serving expatriate executives in the corporate world.

ILH director quits
Bangalore: Ashok Reddy, one of the promoters and director of Indialife Hewitt (ILH), a leading player in the payroll processing and accounting services domain the company, has moved out of the company to head a new start-up, specialising in employee leasing.

The new company christened TeamLease would be looking at helping meet corporate requirements for manpower, though the employees would be on the rolls of TeamLease.

The departure of Reddy comes at a time when IndiaLife has entered into a strategic tie-up with Hewitt Associates in a bid to combine and offer HR outsourcing skills.

Prasanna to lead Wipro's healthcare biz
Bangalore: A Prasanna has been appointed the vice-chairman of Wipro's new healthcare and life science venture, according to a company release.

Wipro Healthcare and Life Science will address the requirements of the Bio-IT market, where Information Technology converges with Life Science. The estimated addressable market opportunity is around $25 billion, growing at over 20 per cent annually.
