AIG Lifes CEO Oommen quits
Mumbai: The Tata AIG Life Insurance chief executive officer
George Oommen has resigned. Ian Watts, a senior executive from AIGs
regional management team in Hong Kong, has been brought in to hold
fort.
Oommen has quit to pursue career opportunities elsewhere. Oommen has
been a career AIG man for over 20 years. An alumnus of the London
School of Accountancy, he joined American International Assurance in
Kuala Lumpur in 1981. Oommen was appointed vice president and
comptroller of AIA in 1990 and was designated as vice president in
1999.
