Board changes at Williamson Magor
Kolkata:
The boards of B M Khaitan group companies, Williamson Magor & Co Limited and Eveready Industries India Ltd board have been reconstituted.

Mr J M Trinick and Mr R S Jhawar have been inducted as directors in the place of Mr Richard B Magor and Mr Philip Magor. Mr A Guha Sarkar has been appointed as the secretary of the company.

P Magor has also stepped down as director from the board of group company Eveready Industries India Limited (EIIL), where P K Kaul has been appointed as a director in his place.

EIIL chairman B M Khaitan, who is also the managing director of the Bishnauth Tea Co Ltd (BTCL), also became the executive chairman of BTCL, after the amalgamation of BTCL with EIIL.

Last month, George Williamson (Assam) had reconstituted its board to formalise its split with the Magors.

S K Mitra was appointed the managing director. Mr B M Khaitan, Mr Deepak Khaitan, Mr J M Trinick and Mr P K Khaitan, an alternate director to Mr Richard B Magor, had stepped down from the board of GWA, and Mr A Vira and Mr P K Gangulee were taken as wholetime directors.
