Infy at all-time high on Nasdaq
Mumbai: Infosys Technologies' American depository shares on the Nasdaq touched a new high on 19 November, when it closed the day’s session at $228.50, up $18. The company’s market cap on the Nasdaq stood at an all-time high of $15.11 billion.

Each ADS of the company represents half a share of the company on the Indian bourses.

Badla rates at 12%
Mumbai: Average badla rates in the carry forward session on the Bombay Stock Exchange came down to around 12 per cent on 20 November. The badla rates have declined in the last few weeks after averaging around 18 to 24 per cent. The drop is attributed to a sharp fall in long positions to around Rs 2,400 crore from an all-time high of Rs 3,300 crore six weeks ago.

A number of traders who had parked their funds in arbitrage transactions are shifting over to badla financing after arbitrage margins started falling.

Surana Telecom plans private placement
Hyderabad: Surana Telecom is planning to place about 6.5 lakh equity shares privately. This will increase its paid-up equity capital to Rs 5 crore. The company, which makes telecommunications equipment, will then seek a listing on the National Stock Exchange.

The funds raised through the private placement will be used to increase its manufacturing capacity for jelly-filled cables by 50 per cent. A part of the funds will also be used to create facilities related to asymmetric digital subscriber lines.
