Badla
rates remain steady
Mumbai: Badla rates remained steady at
21-22 per cent per annum during the badla session on 10
September compared with 22-24 per cent per annum in the
previous week. One scrip, Sun Pharma, attracted backwardation
charges as the stock witnessed major institutional buying
and heavy short selling during the week.
The level of outstanding
positions (net long purchases) remained more or less unchanged
around Rs 2,250 crore owing to which badla rates remained
steady, according to dealers.

Chinese
steel maker plans float
Shanghai: Beijing Shougang Company, a
major Chinese steel maker, is seeking to raise between
1.59 and 1.77 billion yuan through listing of class A
shares for domestic investors on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The company says it will issue 350 million shares, of
which half will be set aside for retail investors.
