Vaghul quits UTI board
Mumbai: ICICI chairman Narayan Vaghul has stepped down from the board of trustees of the Unit Trust of India. He is also planning to quit the board of the Housing Development Finance Corporation soon.

Mr Vaghul has already resigned as chairman of Credit Rating Information Services of India.

Shyamal Gupta is Tata Elxsi chairman
Bangalore: Tata Elxsi has a new chairman. He is Shyamal Gupta, a director of Tata Sons. Mr Gupta will replace F.C. Kohli, who is resigning on attaining the age of 75.

Mr Gupta is a fellow of the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London and a foreign member of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the UK.

S. Ramadorai, chief executive officer of Tata Consultancy Services, has been appointed vice chairman of Tata Elxsi, S. Devarajan, at present executive director, elevated as managing director, and E.A.K. Faizullabhoy, Sujit Gupta and S.D. Pradhan appointed as directors. D.S. Pendse, managing director of Tata Finance, is also a director of the company.
