New Delhi: G.P. Goenka, chairman of the
Duncan Goenka group, has been elected as the new president
of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Mr Goenka succeeds Mr Sudhir
Jalan.

Nayak to be UTI Bank chief
Mumbai: P.J. Nayak, executive trustee
of the Unit Trust of India, is likely to be the new chairman
and managing director of UTI Bank. He may take over his
new position in December 1999 after the term of the present
incumbent, Supriyo Gupta ends.
Mr Nayak has been executive
trustee of UTI since May 1996.
