IDBI MF arm gets new CEO
Mumbai: C.K. Lakshminarayanan, a senior general manager of IDBI
Investment Management Company, the merchant banking arm of the Industrial Development Bank
of India, has taken charge as the managing director. He succeeds K. Sivaprakasam.
IDBI sources said this change of guard is a prelude to signing a
memorandum of understanding between Principal Financial Group of the US and IDBI for
Principal to take a stake in IDBI Investment Management Company.
Mr Lakshminarayanan is an experienced merchant banker and
has significant experience in dealing with regulatory bodies like the Securities and
Exchange Board of India, senior IDBI sources said.
Mr Sivaprakasam, formerly a chief general manager of IDBI,
will return to the parent organisation for a new assignment.

Smita Anand heads OCG of PwC
Mumbai: Smita Anand is the new head of the organisation change strategy
group of PricewaterhouseCoopers in India. She was earlier functional head for the group's
human resources consulting assignments.
Before joint PWC, Ms Anand was senior consultant with
Ernst & Young. At PWC, she has handled clients like British Gas, Hewlett Packard,
Coca-Cola, Seagram Manufacturing, Datex Ohmeda and ESPN.
