Tiger Woods seeks raise from Nike
Seattle: Tiger Woods, world's top-ranked golfer, is seeking a raise from Nike, which pays him nearly $ 8 million a year to wear its 'Smoosh'.

Golf World magazine said in its latest issue that the 23-year-old golfer will conclude a contract by the end of the year, which will provide for more than double his pay from the original deal of an estimated $40 million over five years that he signed in 1996.

Woods' agent Mark Steinberg of International Management Group said Woods will be restructuring his deal with Titleist, which has sued Nike over a television commercial that shows Woods juggling a golf ball with his sand wedge.

Woods currently endorses only Nike's footwear and apparel although the company also makes golf bags, gloves and balls.
