LG Electronics (LG), a worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications, showcased its future line-up of mobile products at the Mobile Asia 2008. The products on display included the recently launched LG Viewty (KU990), which is a professional level camera phone, the interact-pad based KF600, the slim and stylish KF510 with interactive touch lighting phone and the much-awaited KS20 smart phone. The company also showcased the VX 10000 Voyager, VX8800, KF20, KP220, KC320, KM710 and the KG195 range of new phones. LG Viewty (LG-KU990):
The LG Viewty-KU990 is a professional-level camera phone, which comes with a full 3-inch LCD touchscreen, making it LG's first phone with such a feature.Equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, the KU990 can record videos at a speed of 120 frames per second. Considered to be the highest frame speed ever for a handset camera, the videos can be edited and uploaded directly to YouTube. Other features include a manual focus option, an image stabilizer and an ISO up to 800 for indoor or night shooting. The LG-KF600 is a stylish handset, which has newer features, including an InteractPad, which replaces physical buttons with virtual navigation keys that feeds users with forward commands tailored to fit the task at hand. Other features include a 3 megapixel camera, MP3 player, video recorder and an interesting easy to grip trapezoidal shape with high-gloss finish The LG-KF510 slider phone is an ultra slim handset equipped with a unique touch-sensitive LED panel, which provides animated feedback to users. It also features a dynamic touch pad with interactive touch lighting and emotional animation. Other features include a MP3 player, Smart Camera, which has a startup time about one second, image stabilisation, LED flash and red eye reduction and the ability to record and play back QVGA video.
And finally the updated LG-KS20, a slim smart phone which offers full Internet browsing capabilities, music and video downloads and push email at the speed of 3.6 Mbps through HSDPA.Other advanced features include video-conferencing using the phone's dual cameras, a large LCD screen and touch input technology. The handset is powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6 software. Speaking on the interesting line-up for the year, Mr. Anil Arora, Business Group Head, GSM, LG Electronics India felt that the company's future line-up of GSM phones with "intuitive intelligence" based technology not only meet the customers' needs, but exceeds it. He added that LG was proud to equip the latest phones with touch screen handsets, which are a growing trend in the mobile industry. The Vx10000 comes with a neat keypad, hidden underneath the main screen. It features a 2 megapixel auto-focus camera, stereo Bluetooth, QWERTY keyboard, EV-DO high-speed data, live TV and a memory card slot. The VX 8800, also called the Venus, boasts a unique small touch screen in place of the usual d-pad. Other features of this CDMA phone include a 2+ megapixel camera, music player, memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth, EVDO data, and a QVGA display. The KM710 is equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP profile, a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera, and OLED display inside the dial. The KG195 is a basic phone with a 1.8-inch display screen and is equipped with features such as FM radio, a MP3 player, GPRS and Bluetooth 1.2. The KF20 is a 2.8-inch touch screen phone, powered by Windows Mobile 6. Other features include, WiFi, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP profile, TV out, FM radio and supports microSD card for external memory. The KP220 sports a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 1.2, MPEG-4/Mp3 player and FM radio, The KC 320 comes with a Micro SD slot, 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth v 1.2 and FM Radio.
