Market update: Sensex recovers from weak start; down 12 points

Frontline Indian indexes opened sharply lower, in line with the weak trend in other global markets. However, they have recovered most of their losses in mid-morning trading. Most other Asian markets remain weak in early afternoon trading.
Sensex is trading lower by 12 points at 13759 at 11.10 AM IST.
Nifty is now trading lower by 5 points at 4062.
M&M is continuing its decline and is the worst performer among Nifty stocks with losses of over 2.5 per cent.
Among cement stocks, ACC has lost over 2 per cent while Grasim is down well over a per cent.
