Founded in 1985, Corel specialises in content creation tools, business process management and XML-enabled enterprise solutions. The company is headquartered in Ottawa, Canada.
A company press release said these solutions transform XML and legacy data into dynamic and interactive graphics, allowing organisations to send information in a graphic format to virtually any device, anywhere.
The new platform reduces the cost and complexity of building and delivering smart graphics solutions. Its solutions do not depend on proprietary technology, so they can be used with existing tools and infrastructure. It allows Web designers and developers to keep the graphical, functional and data components of an application separate.
Ian LeGrow, executive vice-president of new ventures at Corel Corporation, said: Our Studio will help Web designers and developers bridge the gap between Web services, data and the end user.
Corel is currently partnering with solution providers and early adopters including Ford Motor Company to pilot and enhance the design and capabilities of Corel Smart Graphics Studio.
Corel
Smart Graphics Studio includes the following:
Corel Developer SG, which enables the creation
of complete interfaces that include dynamic behaviors
and data-driven elements. It provides a WYSIWYG (what
you see is what you get) environment to produce complex
applications.
