Bombardier and India's Infotech Enterprises extends alliance news

Berlin: India's Infotech Enterprises Ltd. signed with Bombardier Transportation a new long term contract to continue to provide engineering, electronic design, technical publications and IT-related services to Bombardier Transportation divisions worldwide.

Under the renewed contract, projects include the prestigious Delhi Metro Phase II for which Bombardier will soon start to supply trains.

The Bombardier Transportation and Infotech Enterprises relationship started in 2003 and was executed under the Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) framework. The new contract does not have this clause.

Infotech Enterprises Limited is a global technology solutions provider, offering engineering services and geographic information services to manufacturing, aerospace, transportation, telecom, utilities and government customers worldwide.

Infotech employs over 7300 professionals across 25 global locations, and had reported revenues for last fiscal at $167.5 million.

Josef Doppelbauer, CTO and vice president project management, Bombardier Transportation said, "Bombardier and Infotech have enjoyed a long-term relationship and will continue working together to further build our association.
