3i Infotech acquires Rhyme Systems of UKnews

Mumbai: Global IT solutions and services provider 3i Infotech has acquired UK-based asset management software company, Rhyme Systems. The acquisition will further consolidate the company's position in the banking and financial services space, 3I Infotech said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The acquisition of Rhyme Systems, a profitable company with revenues of over 15 million pounds ($28 million) and eight of the top eleven UK private wealth asset management companies as its clients, would complement the company's expansion into the lucrative BFSI market in the UK, the company said in its statement.

Rhyme's asset management products like rhymeSIGHT and Quasar and its three broking industry products - Altimis, Fiscal and Arrow - are market leaders providing asset, fund and private wealth management solutions.

3i Infotech provides technology solutions to over 500 customers in more than 45 countries across five continents, spanning a range of verticals like banking, insurance, manufacturing, contracting, retail and distribution and government.

The company's is assessed at SEI CMMI Level 5 for its software business and ISO 9001:2000 for its infrastructure services and business process outsourcing (BPO) operations.

3i Infotech reported a 49 per cent rise in its consolidated second quarter (ended 30 September 2006) revenue at Rs145 crore, up 49 per cent year-on-year. Total revenue stood at Rs148.9 crore, a growth of 51 per cent YoY as against Rs98.4 crore. On a sequential quarter basis, the revenue from operations grew 12.9 per cent. The company has revised its guidance and expects to end FY'07 with revenues between Rs620 crore and Rs640 crore.
