Chennai: Business intelligence solution provider Business Objects will set up a new research and development (R&D) centre in Bangalore. The 200-staff centre will focus on global product development and also work closely with regional customers to adapt the company's solutions for specific Asia-based requirements. According to John Schwarz, chief executive officer, Business Objects, "The Indian development centre will focus on delivering technology and services to allow our regional customers to maximise the benefits of their investment in our solutions." The Indian centre is headed by vice president Srivibhavan Balaram, has a decade-long track record in areas of business innovation and product development.
