Microsoft may well have a digital music and video player ready to compete with Apple Computer's iPod once the holiday shopping season comes around. Sources close to the music industry said Wednesday that Microsoft has been touting the new player to record companies in the last few weeks along with a new integrated media software application, a system akin to Apple's iPod/iTunes integrated system. According to the sources, Microsoft's player may also have a wireless feature on the new player to enable the downloading of music and videos over-the-air by users.
