Vonage to unveil computer phone this week: TWSJ report news
27 June 2006

According to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report, Internet phone company Vonage Holdings Corp. is expected to unveil as early as Wednesday a plug-in device that will turn a computer into a phone.

Dubbed the V-phone, the device would allow users to make calls through software embedded on a memory drive that can plug into a USB slot on a laptop or desktop computer, the Journal said. The software is launched with the device plugging in.

The phone will be aimed at business travellers, the report said, quoting Vonage chairman Jeffrey Citron.
