Vivek Ranadive Mumbai: Vivek Ranadive, chairman and chief executive officer of TIBCO Software Inc has been named to the 'chairmen's committee' of the Computerworld Honours Programme.

As a member of the committee, Ranadivé will be involved in evaluating organisations whose use of IT has been especially noteworthy for the originality of its conception, the breadth of its vision and the significance of its benefit to society.

The Computerworld Honours Programme brings together chairmen and CEOs of the world's foremost IT companies to recognise the most outstanding user achievements in technology each year. The process culminates with a black-tie awards ceremony. The event has been scheduled for June 5, 2006, in Washington, DC.

The technology achievements honored by this programme are preserved and protected in national archives as well as in more than 250 universities, museums and research institutions throughout the world.
