20 December 2005

Hyderabad: Information lifecycle management solutions provider Solix Technologies Inc, has completed the integration of its flagship archiving product, Solix ARCHIVEjinni, with HP Integrity servers and HP 9000 servers running Oracle Applications 11i on the HP-UX 11i v2 operating environment.

The integration is key in helping enterprise customers achieve complete, streamlined management control over data resources through advanced archiving and storage technology according to a press release from the company.

Solix ARCHIVEjinni features, standard archiving, configurator based archiving and data masking, were successfully integrated with the HP Integrity server, a process that brings extended archiving capabilities to HP high-end server systems running HP-UX 11i v2. The integration project assures predictable Solix ARCHIVEjinni installation for customers, along with interoperability testing and integration certification.

"Information lifecycle management (ILM) requires data classification and relocation of historical data to lower tier storage," said Burt Salop, vice president of worldwide sales and alliances, Solix Technologies. "Porting Solix ARCHIVEjinni to HP Integrity and HP 9000 servers complements the Solix vision to manage data from cradle to grave. We are truly excited that we are able to provide our archiving solution to a new customer base."

"Data is growing at a phenomenal rate. Customers demanding a robust archiving solution can benefit from combining highly flexible HP server platforms with applications such as Solix ARCHIVEjinni," said Don Jenkins, vice president of marketing, business critical servers, HP. "This integration will provide our customers with a cost-effective ILM strategy across both their applications and IT infrastructure."
