"Our strategy for growth is three-pronged - increase, speed-to-market and reduce cost and risk," says Anandhi Krishnan, assistant vice president, Polaris Software Lab. "We have seen the developer productivity increase by three fold when using Visual Studio 2005 Together with SQL Server 2005, it will help us deliver powerful, scalable and affordable customised solutions quickly to our banking and financial services customers."

The solution can be easily adapted to any collection strategy and provides modules and capabilities for supervisory control, resource allocation, and customized incentive plans.

Microsoft India's Sheila Gulati, director, developer and platform evangelism, explains, "Collect.NET combines the capabilities of the Microsoft platform - Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and Windows Server 2003 - with Polaris' experience and expertise in creating solutions for the financial services industry. Polaris says that it had conducted a performance and scalability testing at Intel Labs Bangalore. With SQL Server 2005, Polaris can process 2.5-million records and upload an additional 10-million records within approximately 2.5 hours of downtime. With a normal 2-processor servers for the database and application server, Collect.NET was able to handle 200 transactions per minute with less than 70 per cent CPU utilisation and maintain the 2-second page response time.
