Marriage portal launches jobs site news

Chennai: Marriage portal company BharatMatrimony.com Pvt Ltd is expanding its online activity sphere. Launching ClickJobs.com, a job portal, the company has plans to launch business portals for real estate, automotives and others.

Speaking about the jobs portal, Michael M Bala, business head hopes the portal to become number two in the sector in six months time and number one in two years time. ClickJobs.com is the first ever ISO 9001:2000 certified job portal in India.

Adds CEO Murugavel Janakiraman, "We hope to earn $5 million in six months time from this portal." Declining to reveal the company's turnover he says the confidence stems from operating the marriage portal for the past several years successfully. "Our vision is to become the numero uno online business group in the country. And the jobs portal is the first step."

Starting its services in five cities, the company plans to expand the physical reach 20 Indian cities. The company will also use its existing infrastructure in the Middle East to promote the new portal.

According to Bala, the online recruitment market is expected to log hundred per cent growth. Globally the market size is $1.7 billion. While the Indian figures are not available, he says that 95 per cent of the recruiters use online job portals. In India, nearly 45 per cent of the postings in job portals are from the computer field.

Apart from the freshness of resumes the portal has some unique features like, advanced search facility, 24x7 customer support, complete confidentiality of resumes and others
