Hyderabad: SatNav Technologies, an IT products company, which launched SatGuide, a navigation system for automobiles late last month, has signed an agreement with Nippon Audiotronix, a specialist in auto electronics, for the marketing and after-sales service for the product. Nippon will handle both retail channels as well as the OEM route using their network of over 650 outlets across the country.

Commenting on the deal Amit Prasad, MD and CEO, SatNav Technologies said, "As product principals, we will focus on the technology aspects and in expanding the geography to multiple cities in India. The tie up with Nippon allows us to further strengthen our core competencies while the partner takes care of the marketing, distribution and after sales service."

We are confident that together we will make In-Vehicle Navigation immensely successful in the country. In parallel we will explore other countries outside India in search of suitable markets for SatGuide."

SatGuide will be available with one city default information. Additional city information can be bought at a nominal charge and will be very useful for those who travel across cities regularly.
