STI Knowledge appoints Sandeep Madan to head Indian operations news

Hyderabad: Symphony Data, the Indian arm of US-based STI Knowledge, has appointed Sandeep Madan as president of its Indian operations. Madan was earlier the chief operating officer of Nipuna Services, the BPO subsidiary of Satyam Computer Services.

STI Knowledge is led by high-profile entrepreneur Satish Sanan and executive chairman and CEO-STI Knowledge. He aggressively built his software venture IMRglobal, with 14 acquisitions in four years to a billion-dollar valuation in the late 1990s. STI Knowledge acquired Hyderabad based Symphony Data in February this year.

Sanan says, "India is the focal point of our strategy and the operations here will be critical to our growth. We believe that Sandeep, with his insight and depth of experience in the BPO business, will be the best fit as we execute our vision into reality."

Commenting on his new assignment Madan says, "STI Knowledge has aggressive growth plans across India and the US. The next 12-18 months are going to be an exhilarating experience for me and everyone in the STI team."

Madan brings to Symphony over two decades of valuable functional and leadership experience in the IT / ITES space with several MNC / Indian companies including GECIS, AT&T, HCL and Capital One. He has a very successful track record in the BPO industry having set-up one of the earliest and largest call center's for GE Capital in Hyderabad. The GE Capital Pinnacle Award and the AT&T Asia / Pacific President's Award stand testimony to his achievements.

STI Knowledge, was currently recognised in Gartner Group's Magic Quadrant of Help DeskOutsourcers for the second consecutive year.
