TIBCO India to scale up operations news

Mumbai: Bangalore headquartered TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX), a leading enabler of real-time business and the world's largest independent business integration software company today announced that TIBCO India will significantly scale up its operations to 200 people by the end of the year. Its only India-based development centre focused on end-to-end engineering is located in Pune.

The centre works on the entire cycle of product development from testing, support and packaging to release management. The centre, set up in September 2004, is spread over 18,000 sq ft with plans to increase this to 35000 sq. ft. The centre follows a 'remote collaboration model' ensuring exposure to developers covering the entire cycle of product development.

According to Ram Menon, senior vice president, worldwide marketing, TIBCO Software Inc, "We will grow the Pune centre to aggressively cater to TIBCO's global requirements. The centre
will be a key driver in TIBCO's expansion and in developing future products. India is expected to emerge as one of the fastest growing markets in the near future and TIBCO is building the foundation to capitalize on emerging opportunities."

TIBCO India has over 15 clients, that include HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Tata Teleservices, spanning verticals like BFSI, telecom and discrete manufacturing.
