World Phone introduces corporate VoIP solutions news

Mumbai: : World Phone Internet Services Private Limited (WPISPL), a category 'A' internet service, has extended its voice over internet (VoiP) services to companies through the launch of 'World Phone diamond'to allow customers to place unlimited calls to the US and Canada for a monthly fee of Rs.3,995.

World Phone is targeting corporate customers, call centers and other BPO operations with its new VoIP service, which provide customer with a US phone number, a US area code of their choice, free unlimited inbound calls, voice mail, caller-id, call-waiting and call-forwarding to any World Phone or US number.

A lower end version, 'World Phone Silver', offering 500 minutes of call time to the US and Canada for a monthly subscription of Rs.1,495, and charged at the rate of Rs.3.50 per minute thereafter will also be offered. Initially, the services will be available to corporate and individual customers in cities New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, among others. World Phone intends to expand the services to smaller cities and towns later on.

Users will not be required to install, invest or maintain a VoIP infrastructure of their own. A user needs a Rs.5,000 Motorola VT 1005 IP phone, which can be directly plugged into an office's local computer network. The calls are routed through the customer's internet service provider and utilise customer's existing bandwidth and minimum internet speed should of 30 kbps.
