Hyderabad: BodhTree Consulting, an IT consulting and product development company has entered into a license agreement to provide its latest ePaper publishing solution to Times of Oman and Al Shabiba the two leading newspapers in Oman, to enable them to publish their print edition over the internet.

BodhTree will receive licensing fees from the newspapers for the use of its technology. The deal was signed between Essa bin Mohammed Al Zadjali, chairman, Muscat Press and Publishing House and Sanjiv Gupta, CEO, Bodhtree Consulting.

According to Ahmed Essa Al-Zadjali, CEO, Times of Oman, "By implementing this solution the ePaper version of our newspapers will not only offer our customers convenience and pleasure of reading their favorite newspaper for our online readers, but will also help us add to our revenue streams by way of subscriptions and advertisements." he added.

Times of Oman and Al Shabiba are the oldest Omani newspapers and will be the first in the country to deploy BodhTree's technology to go live as ePapers.

BodhTree's ePaper publishing solution is an automated product and comes bundled with the necessary tools to convert pre-press news pages using Quark, PageMaker, In-Page or other editorial software to ePaper format in a short duration using minimal resources. This enables newspapers to cost effectively publish the ePaper online much before the print edition goes out on the street.

Sanjiv Gupta, CEO, BodhTree said, 'The selection of our technology by Times of Oman and Al Shabiba validates our ePaper publishing solution capabilities. Our business objective is to establish BodhTree's ePaper technology as the technology-of-choice for e-publishing and to enable the entire industry to take advantage of what it has to offer."
