Mumbai: The Boston Group (TBG), a leading provider of IT services and solutions, has announced that Carrefour, the world's second largest retail chain, has chosen TBG to execute simulated training content for its Supply Chain Management (SCM) software.

The entire simulated training content will be developed at the company's Hyderabad center. It will be aimed at increasing the consistency and effectiveness with which training is delivered to Carrefour's employees to increase their proficiency levels in using the SCM software. This will also help in considerably reducing the time a new user would take to get certified on Carrefour's SCM system. The training content will be developed in seven Asian languages including English, to be deployed and used by more
than 20,000 users across Carrefour locations in Asia. The initial implementation of the project is being done at Carrefour, Thailand (Cencar), and is expected to be carried out in the other regions as well.

According to Mohan Krishna Jonna, president of The Boston Group, "We are delighted at this development. The Carrefour contract means a lot to us as we are actively working on consolidating our customised content development services across the globeā€¦ TBG had adopted a radically different approach to address the business needs of Carrefour which was appreciated by the Carrefour project team and this was the differentiating factor in addition to the technology experience and expertise that we brought to the table."
