Telelogic, a leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, has announced the setup of its product development lab in Bangalore, India. This is Telelogic's fourth lab, the others being in the US, UK and Sweden. The Bangalore lab will initially focus on performing test and quality assurance of Telelogic's integrated product offerings. It will start off with 20-50 engineers and ramp up on a need basis over time.

"Telelogic's operation in India is now the fourth largest in the Telelogic group," said Anders Lidbeck, president and CEO of Telelogic. "We have built up a global support and a global telemarketing operation in India with great success. India has developed into one of the major countries in high tech, with many skilled IT professionals. We now feel that we have the experience and infrastructure in place to take this one step further by setting up a product development lab in Bangalore, complementing our development labs in Europe and the US," Lidbeck concludes.

Sreehari Narasipur has been appointed as the vice president for development at the Bangalore lab.

Ingemar Ljungdahl, CTO of Telelogic added, "The product development lab in India will help Telelogic in furthering its automated lifecycle management (ALM) strategy by supporting the market needs of requirements-driven development and test, together with integrated change and defect management."
