vFortress announces global release of SPAN news

Bangalore: Bangalore-based vFortress Network Security Pvt Ltd, (vFortress), the application security product company, announced the global launch of its indigenously developed application security product suite - SPAN (Seamless Private Application Network). The product suite was developed entirely out of the company's Bangalore R & D Centre. This is the first major launch for vFortress, a vMoksha Technologies incubated company, since its inception in 2001.

The vFortress SPAN product suite consists of: vFortress SSL-VPN, vFortress enterprise trusted gateway, vFortress authentication server (VAS), vFortress trusted device solution (VTDS) and the vFortress video conferencing bridge.

Pawan Kumar, chairman, vfortress said, "vFortress for the last one year, has concentrated on its own IPR development. Currently vFortress holds four patents on emerging security technologies."

Announcing the global launch of vFortress SPAN, Subash Warrier, founder and CEO of vFortress said, "SPAN empowers its customers to use their networked applications securely over the internet without re-engineering."

vFortress SPAN would be primarily targeted at the large enterprises and SMB segments, both globally as well as in India. The products would be sold through partnerships with OEMs. The product suite has various applications including server-based computing, remote access, web enabling, consolidation and web enabling.

In the past couple of years the SMB segment has emerged as the most active segment in South East Asian market. The company is now looking at the Indian market to market its products, through tie-ups with channel partners.
