ORG Informatics net up 175 percent news

Mumbai: ORG Informatics (BSE: ORG Informat), a leading system integrator of information technology (IT), telecom and geographical information system (GIS), has reported its quarterly revenues for the first quarter April to June, 2004 at Rs12.54 crore, registering a growth of 22 percent over the previous year's quarter revenues for the same period, which stood at Rs10.22 crore. ORG's net profit increased by 175 percent during the same period.

The company declared six quarters of continuous profits. Highlight of the quarter for the company was acquiring the contract for providing VSAT services both in Afghanistan (Telecom Development Company Afghanistan Ltd {TDCA, T/A Roshan}) and India.

Building on its strengths in IT system integration, ORG posted overall growth across different geographies in India and increased its distribution networks in the northern & eastern markets of India. The company's cost conscious approach has resulted in rationalisation of operational expenses and higher productivity. In this quarter ORG consolidated its presence in the Afghanistan market in both IT & Telecom. Significant client acquisitions included HFCL Connect, IOCL, GM India, Nirma, HECL and GPEC.
