Hyderabad: Intoto has launched ParentalCQ, a next-generation home networking security solution. Intoto along with Intel showcased the product at a seminar on next-generation network gateways, at Westin in Taipei in Taiwan.

According to S N Murthy, president and chief operating officer of Intoto, ParentalCQ and Intel IXP4XX network processors enable gateway original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to upgrade the existing product lines with complete Internet content filtering capabilities.

The solution provides advanced web content control technology to OEMs to differentiate their gateway products.

ParentalCQ provides superior internet access control and monitoring capabilities for home networks because it is part of the residential gateway rather than a host-based system, which requires more maintenance and can be easily compromised.

ParentalCQ's technology is based on dynamic, multi-layered Web filtering technology and multiple service points located around the world. The technology can be integrated with Intoto's leading iGateway RGSOHO software platform solution, allowing OEMs to build the most advanced gateways in the market.

Based in the Santa Clara, US Intoto's research and development activity is carried out by its Hyderabad-based arm.

In the last four years Intoto has invested about $6 million in its Indian operations and this year the company announced plans to invest $15 million in the country over the next three years. It has recently secured $11million funding led by AsiaTech Management.

Since the company upgraded its iGateway platform this year it has launched three new products: iGateway SecureICP, IntruPro solution and Parental ICQ.

The company has since moved its Hyderabad operations into a new 20,000 sq ft facility in the city and also launched its Chennai operations.
