LynuxWorks announces major expansion plans in India news

With the increasing use of embedded software in various applications and the growth of Linux as an accepted medium worldwide, LynuxWorks, world's leading embedded software technology provider has partnered with Bangalore-based RTTS to create a market in India. This alliance with RTTS will enable LynuxWorks to expand the reach of its cutting edge applications in India.

As a partner to LynuxWorks in India, RTTS will offer standard support and services and create a one-stop shop for custom and system level solutions. Linux is making inroads into a wide range of embedded devices and systems, from hand-held consumer devices to large defence programs. Linux has emerged as the only major open-standard, multi-vendor platform for embedded applications.

LynuxWorks has pioneered the concept of open standards with its LynxOS real-time operating systems. It also leads the embedded Linux market with its Blue Cat Linux. With over 14 years of embedded computing experience, an offering of four embedded operating systems, each addressing a full range of embedded systems requirements, powerful development tools, and comprehensive global consulting services, LynuxWorks provides customers with an indisputable first-mover advantage in its respective markets.

In India, the company's assignments include projects for several private and public sector undertakings like Dassault, Boeing and HP. It is also working closely with Bharat Electronics in India for a range of electronics including development of RADAR test software.
