Chennai: Public and private sector banks like Corporation Bank, Bharat Overseas Bank (BOBL) and ICICI Bank have chosen the ''easitax'' solution, developed by Integrated Hitech, to facilitate income tax returns filing in an electronic format.

The city-based Integrated Hitech is an IT company specialising in tax software. The company is the developer of the official return preparation software Sampark 2003 and Sampark On-Line used by the income tax department.

BOBL is India''s first e-return intermediary to enable filing of returns at all its branches in an electronic format. Corporation Bank offers this facility in more than 150 branches while ICICI Bank has introduced this facility in many of its branches.
