Anantharaman S Iyer, technical lead, Talisma India, told domain-b that companies can also use Talisma 4.0 to better manage their interaction costs with the customer. He said with costs of interacting with customers varying based on the communication channel used companies can configure the product to offer different customers different service options based on past and the potential value of each customer.

Mr Iyer and Ms. Menon refused to provide details about revenue targets or investment gone into development of the product. Ms. Menon however told domain-b that the company had received $31.5 million as first round funding earlier and had again received $12.3 million as second round funding in February 2001. According to her the company could break even in the next fifteen months.

Major investors in Talisma Corporation Inc. are Oak Investment Partners, Madrona Venture Group, The Carlyle Group, Sea Point Ventures and Cedar Grove Investments. It is the only full-service provider of enterprise – class electronic customer relationship management or eCRM solutions in the world. Its customers include names like Realnetworks, Exodus, EMI, Lowe’s Hardware, MSNBC, Wharton School of Business, Netgrocer.com, Advertising.com and Blue Nile.com. Its Indian clientele include ICICI, HDFC, Daksh, Rediff.com, Citibank, GE, Kotak Mahindra and indya.com.
