Beckons ties up with GTZ for commercial production of algae biodiesel feedstock news

GTZ, which has been in India for over 50 years, is acting on behalf of the German government, India's partner in the search for sustainable energy, GTZ said in its website.

India and Germany have jointly undertaken a programme for sustainable development of technology for renewable energy production. The Indo-German Environment Programme (ASEM) is a joint programme of the ministry of environment and forests aiming at environmental improvement and sustainable development.

GTZ represents the German government as the partner under the programme.

GTZ International Services (IS), a separate business area within GTZ, offers effective services for sustainable development. Its major clients include multilateral donors, private sector actors and increasingly the governments of partner countries. In India, the clients of GTZ IS include the government of Gujarat.
