Brand Equity - Nielsen survey ranks Yatra as top travel services facilitator

Yatra.com has emerged as the industry leader in the online travel space as per a survey released by Brand Equity on 'Most Trusted Brands, leaving behind other players like makemytrip, cleartrip and irtctc.

Conducted by Nielsen Company, the survey is the largest of its kind in India, with a sample size of 8,160 done across socio-economic classes, age, income and geography.

Yatra.com was listed 14 on the list of the top 50 digital brands ahead of some of the popular brands like twitter, which was ranked 18. 

Pratik Mazumder, head of marketing and strategic alliances, Yatra.com, said, ''Such recognition supports all our marketing efforts and reaffirms top of mind brand recall and consistent brand momentum in the last four years.''

Yatra.com acts as a one-stop-shop for all travel needs including air tickets, hotel rooms, holiday packages and car rentals.

It had bagged the second prize in 'Domestic Tour Operator' category at National Tourism Awards 2008-2009 and has been nominated under 'Asia's leading travel agency' at the 17th Annual World Travel Awards.
