Kumari Selja launches Louise Cruises Maldives, Colombo cruises from Kochi

Louise Cruises Group ship Aquamarine today started regular international cruise services from the Kochi port with initial services to Maldives and Colombo.

The cruise service offers excellent Indo-European hospitality to both Indian and international tourists.

Louis Cruises, one of the largest cruise operators, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cochin Port Trust for launching the service.

Tourism minister Kumari Selja launched the international ship cruising operation from Kochi on Monday.

"Louis Cruises has rightly identified Cochin Port, which has experience of successfully handling events like Volvo Ocean Race India Stopover in December 2008," tourism minister Kumari Selja said at function to launch the service.

She also congratulated the state government of Kerala, Cochin Port Trust and Louis Cruises for the successful launch of the venture.
