Users of Kindle reading apps would be pleased to know that the apps had been improved for  better audible integration, allowing users to make the switch between reading and listening without having to leave the app in the first place.

The newly-launched Whispersync for Voice would allow users to begin reading at home, taking just a single tap to switch to listening on their commute.

Getting started with audio upgrades to Kindle books would be light on the pocket too, as they could be purchased from Audible Audiobooks for as little as $0.99, while upgrades to bestsellers would be available for picking from $3.99.

The free software update for Kindle for Android and Kindle for iOS would be able to deliver a seamless listening experience directly into the app.

According to Russ Grandinetti, senior vice president, Amazon Kindle, Kindle was working hard to help customers find more moments each day to enjoy a great book.

Integrating professional narration into its Kindle apps meant one never needed to put down a favorite book. They could start reading at home, get in the car and simply tap a button to continue listening without losing their place.
