KFC has introduced a container for the chicken customers order that can double up as a drone.

The fast food chain's offerings now come in a container that can be reused to build an actual Bluetooth-connected drone, or Kentucky Flying Object (KFO), according to The Verge.

When customers order Smoky Grilled Wings on 25 and 26 January, they will get a box that breaks apart and can be rebuilt into the KFO. After they finish the last bite of what KFC calls ''the most fly meal ever,'' they can view the instructions online and download the remote control app for the drone to their phone.

The KFO is being offered in select KFC stores across 10 Indian cities, starting today, that is 25 January. However, customers stand to win a box of a DIY drone, if and only if they order the Smokey Grilled Wings. The offer will be open till 26 January only.

The offer will be available in select stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune and Kochi only.

It may be noted, however, that just ordering the chicken wings does not guarantee that customers will win a DIY box. It is more like entering a lucky draw, customers may or may not win it. The total number of DIY boxes on offer are 24, ie twenty four lucky customers across India will snag the drones.

Customers who do not win the KFO, they can still get it as KFC will also start selling the product on its official website.

As for the DIY, setting up the drone is an easy task, though it needs some strength to put together some of its parts.

The drone is controlled via an app called the KFO Controller, available on both iOS and Android.
