Essar Oil Ltd is a part of the Essar Group. It was one of the first private companies to bid for exploration blocks in 1993. Essar currently has four onshore and two offshore blocks for oil, gas and Coal Bed Methane (CBM) exploration/development in India and Myanmar. The company is equipped with resources to analyse geoscientific data for evaluation of prospects, sub-surface modeling and reservoir characterisation.
