Introduction
Nestlé was founded in 1866 by Henri Nestlé, a pharmacist, who developed a food for babies who were unable to breastfeed. Today it is the world's biggest food and beverage company. Nestle was greatly benefited by World War II. A product it had recently introduced, Nescafé, became a staple drink of the US military. Among Nestle's well-known brands are Taster's Choice coffee, Perrier water, Kit Kat chocolate, Mövenpick ice cream and Maggi soup.
