World Bank to offer access to files under RTI

Beginning 1 July, the World Bank will offer access to its files under the Right to Information Act. 

A newspaper report quoting an unnamed bank official said the bank has approved the move. The move potentially opens up the record of the bank's involvement with successive Indian governments, especially during the first few critical years after liberalisation, the Indian Express newspaper report.
 
However, this would not include correspondence of the bank with the government - part of the small set of the minus list - the report quoted him as saying.
