Climate change protests to strike London on Wednesday

The Bank of England, the Treasury, Heathrow and energy companies including Shell and Eon on the 'hit list' of green activists who have planned massive protests at these places. The protestors have planned their week-long annual 'Climate Camp' at an undisclosed location from where they will intend to carry out protests at a series of targets across London.

The complete list of 22 locations on the protestors 'hit list' includes the business department, transport department, Stock Exchange, London City airport, British Sugar, R io Tinto, Unilever and BAA.

The Climate Camp is a loose affiliation of thousands of environmental activist who congregate every year to protest against establishments that they believe are responsible for global warming. The group has demonstrated at high profile ''Climate Camps' at Heathrow Airport and Kingsnorth Power Station earlier.

This year the week-long camp will he held in London to demonstrate against the banking system, oil companies and the government.

On Wednesday at least one thousand protestors are expected to gather at a number of muster points around London before swooping on a site where they will camp for a week. Though the location of the camp is a highly guarded secret the meeting points include the mining company Rio Tinto and the site of the 2012 Olympics.

The camp which will require a massive infrastructure will likely be an open green space like Hyde Park.
