FIPB rejects Bharati Shipyard’s foreign equity proposal

New Delhi: Reports suggest that India may have turned down a proposal from private shipbuilder Bharati Shipyard Ltd. to undertake defence production business with foreign equity.

The proposal was rejected by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, a government body that reviews and clears foreign investments in Indian companies.
