Yahoo India is offering its users Bollywood movies for free through its video on demand service called MoviePlex. Yahoo has licensed some of the Bollywood movies for free, showing on its website.

Currently Yahoo's MoviePlex offers titles such as Rock On, Rann, Dil to Baccha Hai Ji, Crook, Rakta Charitra, etc.

Users can watch full-length movies in full screen and can share them on their favourite social networking sites as well, Yahoo India said in a release.

The online search engine said it plans to collaborate with some of the leading production houses to bring thousands of Bollywood movies for its users.

Quoting a ComScore report, Yahoo India said the Indian audience currently spends over 9.1 billion minutes watching online videos each month while entertainment tops online video consumption charts, ahead of news and sports content.

"Over 30 million internet users consume 1.7 billion videos every month across India. With the increasing demand for online video, both consumers and content providers are looking for a trusted destination where quality content can be consumed in a piracy-free environment at their leisure," said Arun Tadanki, managing director, Yahoo! India.
Yahoo has advertisement support from LG and Maruti Suzuki for this new service.
